Joseph Garcin, Inez Serrano, and Estelle Delaunay have all died. The 3 find themselves confined together in a locked, windowless, mirrorless room that they believe to be Hell.
However, instead of the fire and brimstone, whips and thumbscrews they thought they would find, they slowly realize that they are trapped in a psychological hell; where they torment each other through their interactions and perceptions. They come to learn that Hell... is just other people - that there is ~ NO EXIT.
